The invention relates to an improved intra-uterine device. The device is comprised of a deformable element which is a plastic fibre (1) releasing an active material in the cavity of the uterus, fibre which is formed of a plurality of strains (3, 3') or loops (2) juxtaposed and kept together at an assembly area (4) of reduced size with respect to the length of the strains or loops, and of a fixing element for securing the device to the cavity of the uterus, said fixing element being a thread (5) provided with a hooking device (6) which hooks to the tissues of the uterus, appropriate for inserting it by means of a needle and made integral with the fibre. The invention applies to coils and uterus treatment devices. |
