The warning light (1) has detection units i.e. sensors, for detecting all or part of operating modes to be signaled, of a hybrid traction chain of a vehicle. Luminous signaling units i.e. indicator lights (11), are triggered by the detection units to emit a luminous signal that is specific and different from other luminous signals to be emitted by the vehicle. The operating modes are associated to preset polluting substance emission levels or preset fuel consumption levels by the chain. The signaling units are placed above a wheel passage of the vehicle, and are constituted by diodes.
