<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink sheet for heat-sensitive transfer recording which has a comprehensively excellent performance in all characteristics of the performances required for coloring matter for heat-sensitive transfer recording, and can simultaneously satisfy an excellent color reproductive property especially in print samples, image shelf life and a transfer density, and to provide a heat-sensitive transfer recording method. <P>SOLUTION: This ink sheet for heat-sensitive transfer recording includes a base material sheet, and a dye-carrying layer which is formed on one surface of the base material sheet. The ink sheet for heat-sensitive transfer recording contains at least two kinds of coloring matters having an aryliden pyrazolone frame being represented by general formula (1) in the dye-carrying layer.
