A pocket computer has a housing contg. a computer consisting of at least one microprocessor, a RAM contg. coded image information, a ROM contg. a BIOS, a data and instruction entry keyboard and a small screen for displaying parts of the stored image. A vertical motion arrangement or roller has a sensor arrangement with a vertical transducer controlled by the sensor arrangement and mounted in the keyboard region. When an external actuator is moved a signal is generated corresp. to the duration and speed of its motion and a part of the image is moved accordingly in the screen. The image can be moved horizontally in steps using another keyboard control. ADVANTAGE - Parts of large image can be rapidly moved over screen at will.
