The mounting system uses an intermediate plate (1) with an apertuture (3) matched in shape and size to the peripheral rim (15) of the loudspeaker cone (17). The rim (15) is secured within this aperture (3) via clip hooks (7) fitted into a projecting rim (5) around the edge of the aperture (3) and gripping the front edge of the loudspeaker rim (15). A security ring (27) is fitted over the loudspeaker rim (15) and the retaining clips (7), serving to press the latter inwards against the loudspeaker rim (15).
