Monitoring of sensors for controlling internal combustion engine - comparing frequency of occurrence of sensor signals to detect implausibility using counters
摘要
The method of monitoring sensors which produce signals characterising the same operating state involves comparing the frequency of occurrence of the sensor signals. Errors are detected by detecting an implausibility when one of the sensors produces a signal more frequently than the others. Each sensor is associated with a counting system whose contents are a measure of the frequency of occurrence of the sensor signal. The counter contents are compared when one of them exceeds a defined threshold. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. for monitoring sensors for controlling an internal combustion engine. The method and arrangement prevent mistaken fault diagnosis.
