PURPOSE:To attain the handling of a confidential mail by devising the device to select a mail destination to a destination mail box or a mail box of a forwarding destination when the forwarding of destination is set. CONSTITUTION:A mail transfer section 11 receives a destination of a mail from a mail sender. A mail transfer destination selection section 12 references a forwarding table 13 in which a forwarding destination is set and selects a destination main box 14 when no forwarding is set to send the mail to the box 14, and when the forwarding is set, a message representing the setting is displayed to information processing units 18,19 to urge the operator for the selection as to whether the mail is sent to the box 14 or a forwarding mail box 15. When a destination forwarding selection section 16 by the selection of the operator is used to select the destination, a destination incoming communication section 17 sends a mail informing the transmission of the mail designated by the destination to the box 15 being the forwarding destination and the mail text is sent to the box 14. On the other hand, when the selection section 16 selects the forwarding destination, the mail is sent to the box 15. |
