A method and a system for offering contents according to personal preference are provided to comprise a controller configured to provide personalized contents according to preference tags, thereby offering contents according to personal preference. A contents request for identifying contents categories is received from a client. The client associated with the contents request is identified(S710). The contents categories are identified from the contents request(S720). It is decided whether the contents categories are included within a preference tag associated with the identified client(S730). If so, personalized contents are provided according to the preference tag of the identified client(S740).
