PURPOSE: To provide a stereoscopic image device which displays the ordinary images in a simple constitution when a power supply is applied again. CONSTITUTION: The input video signal is converted into an ordinary intermediate frequency video signal by a tuner 1 and amplified by a video intermediate frequency amplifier circuit 4. Then the amplified frequency signal is detected by a video detection circuit 5 and inputted to a stereoscopic video circuit 13. The right and left eye video signals are switched to each other in every field among the input ordinary video signals, and the stereoscopic video signal is converted. Then the stereoscopic video signal or the ordinary video signal is selected and displayed on a CRT via a video amplifier circuit 6. A shutter switch synchronizing signal is outputted to a shutter switch signal transmitter circuit 14 from a channel selection circuit 3. Then a shutter switch signal is outputted to the spectacles to switch the liquid crystal shutter of the spectacles synchronously with the switching of right and left eye video signals. When a power supply 15 is cut or applied, a power supply cut/application detection circuit 3a of the circuit 3 is reset. Then a 3rd control signal is outputted to the circuit 13 to compulsively select the ordinary video signal. |
