An image processing apparatus and a method thereof are provided to supply a more dynamic screen as helping identification by automatically enlarging an unrecognizable object during broadcasting. An input unit(110) receives a broadcast signal in which zoom-in information having area information for a partial area of an image can be included. An image processor(120) processing the inputted broadcast signal. If the zoom-in information is present in the broadcast signal, a controller(150) controls the image processor so as to enlarge the partial area of the image based on the area information of the zoom-in information. The zoom-in information further includes magnification information about magnification for magnifying a partial area of the image.
