INORGANIC COMPOSITION AND PRODUCTION OF LAMINATE

PURPOSE: To improve shelf stability of an inorganic composition by blending a condensed composition containing a specific tetraalkoxysilane, basic water and an organic solvent with another inorganic composition containing an alkoxysilane, acidic water and an organic solvent. CONSTITUTION: (A) A condensed composition is obtained by mixing 1mol of a tetraalkoxysilane of the formula Si(OR)4 (R is a 1-5C alkyl) with 2-8mol of basic water having pH10.0 to pH12.0 and 10-30mol of an organic solvent at 10-30 deg.C for 1-10 hours. (B) Another condensed composition is obtained by mixing 1mol of an alkoxysilane of the formula (R<2> )n Si(OR<1> )4-n (R<1> and R<2> are each R; (n) is 0-3) with 3-8mol of acidic water having pH0 to pH2.6 and 10-30mol of an organic solvent at 10-30 deg.C for 1-10 hours. The component A is mixed with the component B in the weight ratio of the components A/B of 0.4-2.4 and optionally diluted with an organic solvent in an amount to make the concentration of the solid content 1.0-4.0wt.% to give the objective inorganic composition.
