<p>The location method involves closing up of all ends except one of the part of the system containing the leak, after removal of all fluid. A freezing solution is then injected under pressure from the free end. The freezing pressure is maintained for a certain time to control the temperature of the surface enclosing the leaking pipe until the pipe covering surface temperature is cold. The leak is detected using an infra-red camera as the leak will cause a temperature change on the cooled surface at the point of the leak.</p> |
