An inflatable boat consists of buoyant inflatable tubes (3) fitted round a rigid moulded hull with a sloping stern panel (4), and has a rear extension plate (6) which projects beyond the stern panel. The stern panel (4) is designed to support at least one outboard motor, and the extension plate has a central recess (7) to take the motor's propeller column. The plate is also shaped to form steps (9) at the side giving rear access to the craft. The rigid hull is made in two sections, a keel section and a bridge (8) section, joined together by their edges, with the rear extension plate formed from both sections. The central portion of the sloping panel is reinforced by an additional bolt-on plate (5) to support the outboard motor(s).
