New cooker for preparing flour from grated, pressed and sieved manioc root, has a large pan fixed to a central vertical shaft which is rotates at 40 rpm over heat provided by wood, gas or other suitable fuel. The pan is rotated by an electric motor (16) which drives the vertical shaft (7) through bevel gears. At the same time the motor drives a second vertical shaft (6) equipped with spring-loaded mixing blades (3) in the pan, with the two vertical shafts (6, 7) and the motor shaft (11) running in bearings (12). A spring-loaded wooden scraper (8) inside the pan scrapes down any material adhering to the sides.
