Waterproof connector e.g. for safe connection of electrical wires under water

The connector (10) consists of a housing structure, fitted internally with a set of terminal accommodating chambers (20a,20b). A number of wire insertion holes (37a,37b,39a,39b) allow access to the terminal chambers. The structure is then waterproofed by inserting the wires (1) into the holes and then ultrasonically welding the cover part (11) to secure the wires to the connector.
