PURPOSE: An air cleaning apparatus using mixed liquid having H2O as a main constituent absorbing polluted air and a clearing method using the same are provided to remove the pollutants from air simply with reduced cost. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises an inlet port(10) drawing in polluted air, a cleaning part(30) connected to one end of the inlet port for purifying drawn polluted air, and a discharge part(20) drawing off the purified air to the outside that is joined with one end of the cleaning part. The cleaning part includes an outer case protecting the cleaning part rotating at high speed and a bearing supporting the part to be rotated. A motor(5) coupled to the cleaning part by a shaft rotatably supplies rotating power to the cleaning part and the polluted air is purified by using mixed liquid membrane produced by the rotation of the cleaning part. The polluted air is cleared by the following steps : (i) forming mixed liquid membrane by the rotation of the cleaning part ; (ii) drawing polluted air into the cleaning part by creating air pressure difference by a fan(23) ; (iii) flowing the air into a cleaning room and purifying the air by contact with the liquid membrane ; and then (iv) discharging the purified air to outside. The mixed liquid membrane having H2O as a main constituent can contain FeSO4, LiOH, or NaOH according to the constituents of the polluted air.
