PURPOSE: A pan/tilt camera is provided to carry out horizontal and vertical rotations simultaneously by additional driving elements so that processing velocity of the camera becomes faster, thereby improving the rotation of the camera and rapidly moving the camera toward a desired subject CONSTITUTION: A pan/tilt camera includes a camera(20) for photographing images, a first housing(30) receiving a part of the camera and rotatable integrally with the camera, a tilt motion element(60) received in the first housing for rotatably moving the camera vertically, a pan motion element(80) connected to the first housing and rotatably moving the first housing horizontally by operating separately from the tilt motion element, a second housing(40) for receiving the fan motion element, and a controller(100) for generating an interrupt signal by a predetermined time period for driving the motion elements to move the camera directly, which moves horizontally and vertically by the motion elements, along a subject, and alternately controlling the motion elements in desired directions by controlling rotation velocity of the motion elements by each interrupt signal.
