PURPOSE: A composite break-shoe compound for a powered vehicle in rolling stocks is provided to prevent sparks in the case that the powered vehicle is braked by a break-shoe, secure safe breaking by improving frictional property and lengthen the life of a wheel and the break-shoe. CONSTITUTION: A composite break-shoe compound for a powered vehicle consists of; steel fiber; organic fiber used as a lubricant and controlling the change of frictional coefficient; barium sulfate; a resin material as a binder and graphite as a lubricant. A compound comprises; 40-60 parts by weight of the iron fiber; 1-10 parts by weight of the organic fiber; and 5-30 parts by weight of the barium sulfate, 1-20 parts by weight of the resin material and 10-30 parts by weight of the graphite. A main body(1) of the composite break-shoe is connected to a reinforcing plate(2), in which a stop(3) and a key-lock(4) are formed, to reinforce the stiffness. The stop prevents the break-shoe key from sliding, and the key-lock fixes the main body of the composite break-shoe.
