PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for measuring overlaying state of cushion springs for a car clutch disc are provided to judge if cushion springs are overlaid by using magnetic permeability of magnetic field to remove causes of generation of fault in the procedure of providing the cushion springs, thereby improving efficiency of clutch disc assembling process. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for measuring overlaying state of cushion springs includes a sensor, set at a place where a cushion spring(25) is mounted under the mount of a clutch plate(24), to confirm if the cushion spring is provided, and an open iron core wound by primary and secondary coils to permeate magnetic field to the cushion spring at the same location as that of the sensor. The apparatus further has an RMS detector for detecting secondary voltage induced to the secondary coil according to information sensed by the sensor and the magnetic field permeated from the open iron core, a microprocessor for receiving information of the sensor and the RMS detector to judge if a fault is generated, an LCD and alarm device for informing an operator of information output from the microprocessor.
