PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image quality predicting device which is capable of predicting and forming the reflectance distribution of an image outputted from an image recorder, accurately evaluating the quality of the image in a short time, and accurately reflecting the characteristics of the dot shape of each dot generating device which generates dots for the outputted image in an image forming device equipped with a plurality of the dot forming devices. SOLUTION: This image quality predicting device is equipped with a dot reflectance distribution data holding means which holds the reflectance distribution data of dots generated by each of a plurality of dot forming devices held by an evaluated output image recording device in output data of an actual evaluated output image recording device or a device similar to the evaluated output image recording device; a dot forming device control means which controls the dot forming devices; and a reflectance calculating means which calculates the reflectance distribution of an image outputted from the evaluated output image recording device by the use of reflectance distribution data held as to each of the dot forming devices, dot forming device control information which controls the dot forming devices, and image data on the inputted evaluation image. |
