A thin film transistor liquid crystal display. The display includes a first substrate and a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer, an upper electrode, a lower electrode, and a plurality of polarizers. An enclosed space is formed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The liquid crystal layer is filled in the enclosed space. The upper electrode is formed on the inner surface of the first substrate. The lower electrode is formed on the inner surface of the second substrate having a narrow electrode and a pixel electrode beside the narrow electrode. The narrow electrode is coupled to a drain/source of a thin film transistor, and a portion of the pixel electrode is overlapped on the drain/source of the thin film transistor but insulated to the drain/source of the thin film transistor. The polarizers are formed on the outer surface of the first substrate and the second substrate respectively.
