A process accumulates a feed supply of non-woven man-made fibers and transports these on a belt over a release-point drum. The drum (4) esp. has numerous perforations (7) in the mantle linked to an interior supply of pressurised air. Also claimed is a commensurate assembly in which air is pumped into the drum via a hollow axle (8) and discharged through the perforations (7) and conveyer belt.
