PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for obtaining transmission/reception switching synchronization from a base station signal in a TDD(Time Division Duplex) system are provided to reduce a cost for constructing a system and enhance QoS(Quality of Service) in providing a service to a shadow area. CONSTITUTION: A forward signal transmitted from a base station is received by an antenna(1) and connected with a repeater through a coaxial cable(2). The forward input signal passes an RF switch(3) and a filter(4). And then, the corresponding signal is transmitted to a terminal after passing through an LNA(Low-Noise Amplifier)(5) a forward AGC(Automatic Gain Controller), an attenuator(6), a frequency converter(7), an IF SAW filter(8), a frequency converter(9), an RF amplifier(10), a filter(11), an RF coupler(12), an RF switch(13), a coaxial cable(14) and an antenna(15). A reverse signal transmitted from the terminal is received by the antenna(15) and connected to the repeater through the coaxial cable(14). The reverse input signal passes the RF switch and a filter(26). And then, the corresponding signal is transmitted to the base station through an LNA(25), a frequency converter(24), an IF SAW filter(23), an attenuator(22) for reverse ALC(Automatic Level Control), a frequency converter(21), an RF amplifier(20), a filter(19), an RF coupler(18), the RF switch(3), the coaxial cable(2) and the antenna(1). A power detection, switching signal detection, switching control and check block(17) detects power of the signal inputted to a forward input port of the repeater by using the RF coupler(12), and then controls an RF transmission/reception switch by extracting a switching signal.
