摘要 PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus and method for automatically correcting a device for measuring width and shape of hot strip to improve quality of width and shape of the hot strip by constructing encoders and laser detectors, thereby accurately measuring width and shape of the hot strip on a matrix that is a virtual three-dimensional space. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a shape correction part(100) comprising a shape detection sensor for detecting shape of the hot strip(10) and online position of the apparatus, a sensor guide enabling vertical movement of the shape detection sensor, a shaft for changing circular motion of disk into straight line motion, sensor fixing shaft and disk fixing shaft for connecting the shape detection sensor and the disk, a driving motor for rotating the disk, and a motor fixing stand for supporting the driving motor; a matrix correction part comprising sample driving motors fixed onto a base of the apparatus by motor fixing bands, sample encoders installed in rear of the sample driving motors, sample driving screws connected to shafts of the sample driving motors respectively, ball bushings to which the sample driving screws are penetratingly connected, width variable samples connected to the ball bushings, angle driving motors installed to vary a height corresponding to Y axis of matrix coordinates, angle measuring angle encoders installed at the angle driving motor sides respectively, and operation room side matrix correction part(200) and drive side matrix correction part(250) equipped with light source lamps for supplying a power source respectively with being connected to light source lamp sockets installed on both side surfaces of the center of lower light source cases; a driving part(300) comprising a motor base fixed to the inside of a driving part case installed on a lower part of the matrix correction part, a driving motor fixed onto the motor base, a chain pulley connected to shaft of the driving motor, a chain pulley connected to one side of a shaft for driving wheels(307), and a chain for connecting the chain pulleys; a driving control part(400) for controlling the shape correction part, the matrix correction part and the driving part respectively; a width shape control part(500) for calculating matrix value and shape value with feedback data of the driving control part; and an operation room computer(600) having monitoring and compensating functions by calculating a difference between values of the width shape control part and actually measured values.
