The broom has a broom body (3) with a first cleaning side (5) with first cleaning body (6) facing the surface to be cleaned, and a second cleaning side (7) with second cleaning body (8) on the side away from the first side. Both cleaning bodies are of the same shape and/or consist of the same material, e.g. bristles. The ratio of bristles of first and second body is 1: 3, and the ratio between bristle hardness is also 1 : 3. The bristles of one body are of rubber, and at least one body is of synthetic foam, and is enclosed partially by bristles. The broom body has an aperture (10) to accommodate a cardan-type joint (2) for connection to a broom handle (1). The joint has an adjustable friction coupling and/or a positioning device (15) for relative positioning.
