Therapeutic preparations for hematopoietic diseases comprising synoviolin, whose isolation as a synovial cell protein has been reported, and a gene thereof as effective ingredients; a therapeutic method comprising administering the protein or relevant polynucleotide; etc. There are further provided a synoviolin-homo-deficient animal and cells derived from the animal as a model for hematopoietic diseases and is provided a method of screening a therapeutic agent for hematopoietic diseases with the use of the model.
