PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sunlight-screening fine particles excellent in the transmittance of wavelength of 850 nm applied in a communication instrument system such as a light beacon, etc., a sunlight-screening material and sunlight-screening composite material containing the fine particles and dispersion used for the production of them. SOLUTION: The sunlight-screening fine particles are characterized by being constituted with indium tin oxide fine particles having≥50 m2/g specific surface area, 52-89 L, -5 to -0.1 a* and -4 to 30 b* powder material color in the L*a*b* color system, and also having≥15 % diffuse reflection rate measured by a diffuse reflection method in the state of fine particles at 850 nm wavelength.
