PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terahertz wave generating device which continuously generates high-power terahertz waves with a small-scale configuration. SOLUTION: The terahertz wave generating device is equipped with a first semiconductor laser 12, a second semiconductor laser 13, and a nonlinear optical element 14 made of a nonlinear optical material. The first semiconductor laser 12 and second semiconductor laser 13 are arranged so that a first light ray emitted by the first semiconductor laser is reflected by the second laser 13 to resonate, a second light ray emitted by the second semiconductor laser 13 is reflected by the first laser 12 to resonate, and the first light ray and the second light ray travel through the same path.
