<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insert assisting implement allowing an operator to easily perform hand technique in inserting a gastrostoma tube in a syrinx. <P>SOLUTION: This insert assisting implement 1 includes: a bar-like member 2 and a grip 3. The tip of the bar-like member 2 is a locking part 4 inserted in a locking hole 12, and provided with a bent part 5 offset downward from the tip. The grip 3 is made of hard synthetic resin, and extended from the bar-like member 2 downward and obliquely backward with a gradient of 120°. The upside of the bar-like member 2 is provided with a clamping groove 6 substantially U-shaped in a front view. The clamping groove 6 has a width W smaller than the outside diameter ϕ of a tube body 0 of a gastrostoma tube 8 mentioned later, and three ribs 7 are formed in the vertical direction in the interior thereof. In mounting the gastrostoma tube 8 on the insert assisting implement 1, the locking part 4 is inserted in the locking hole 12 as shown in (a), the tube body 9 is pulled backward as shown in (b), and the tube body 9 is held in the clamping groove 6.
