LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal cell capable of enhancing orientation stability at a plurality of pixels, avoiding display unevenness due to orientation fluctuation and securing symmetry of a viewing angle and having a high display quality level.

SOLUTION: Transmission display regions 22 are disposed at both sides of a reflection display region 21 of a pixel electrode 6 in a pixel 5 of an array substrate 2. An insulating layer 35 having a first insulating layer 36 and second insulating layers 37 that face the transmission display regions 22 and the reflection display region 21 in the pixel electrode 6 is formed on a counter electrode 34 of a counter substrate 31. Second insulating layers 37 exist at both sides of the first insulating layer 36. The motion of liquid crystal molecules 41 is symmetrical with respect to the reflection display region 21. Liquid crystal orientation stability can be enhanced at a plurality of pixels 5. A defect such as unevenness in display due to orientation fluctuation of the liquid crystal molecules 41 in the liquid crystal layer 42 can be avoided.
