<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor capable of restoring a faulty circuit, without providing a reset instruction circuit for instructing resetting after detecting that the circuit connected to a USB interface has failed. <P>SOLUTION: A main system control unit 11, if a CARDDET signal is output, transmits access instruction information to a mounted memory card 3. The main system control unit 11, upon receipt of reply information indicating access failure from a subsystem control unit 31, determines that a circuit block 30 has failed, and instructs a suspend mode for a predetermined period.
