PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight collar padding of summer clothing, free from damaging massive feeling and shape retention, and having good air permeability and refreshing feeling. SOLUTION: This collar padding 10 of summer clothing has a structure of sticking a shape retention layer 11 to a thickness giving layer 12. The shape retention layer 11 comprises using a product made by leno-knitting to 10-16 mesh with cotton, linen or rayon and animal hair. The thickness giving layer 12 comprises using a product made by punching many air holes 12h of a hole diameter of 1-2 mmϕwith 2-6 mm pitch in length and width on a nonwoven fabric 12f of a thickness of 0.4-0.7 mm, having polyester fiber as the material. In more details, a product made by bringing the cotton, linen or rayon to compound twine, and using the cotton, linen or rayon for warp and animal hair yarn for weft, and slightly sticking interlaced parts of the warp and weft.
