PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting module capable of accurately monitoring the temperature of a semiconductor laser element. SOLUTION: The light emitting module 1 comprises a stem 30, a thermoelectric converter element 10 provided on the stem 30, a heat sink 12 provided on the converter element 10, a semiconductor laser element 14, and a temperature measuring element 16 mounted to the heat sink 12 and a cap 32. The cap 32 has a ceiling 32b and a side wall 32a having a support 32c for supporting a lens 38 optically coupled with the laser element 14 for covering the converter element 10 mounted to the stem 30, the laser element 14, and the temperature measuring element 16.
