PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To duplex only a physical communication line containing a serial conversion circuit and a connector without duplexing a serial control circuit of a master device, and thereby to prevent an entire system stop failure due to subsidiary terminal fault or one transmission line fault. SOLUTION: Only physical communication line containing the duplexed serial conversion circuits 50 and 90 on the transmitting side and duplexed serial conversion circuits 80 and 120 on the receiving side is duplexed without duplexing a serial control circuit 10 of the master device.
