PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric device which increases an airtightness of a package and exhibits excellent oscillation characteristics even when a material through which a light for adjusting a frequency passes is provided in a part of a lid body. SOLUTION: In the piezoelectric device, a piezoelectric oscillation piece 32 is housed in a package 36 having an opening 33 and the opening 33 is sealed by a lid body 39. The lid body 39 is formed so that a material 56 through which a light passes is jointed to an inner face of a metal body 55 having a frame shape so as to have a wall 55a above a fringe, and a base 55c of the metal body 55 is jointed to the package 36 so that its width dimension W1 is equal to or less than a width dimension W2 of an end 68 on the opening side of the package 36.
