PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image storage device which has a high detection accuracy for falsification, can identify the falsification by "masquerade" and furthermore, can specify the falsified portion. SOLUTION: The image storage device includes: a first hash value generating means for generating a first hash value for each field of image data based on the image data; a hash value adding means for generating hash value-added image data by adding the generated first hash value to a portion of the digital image data belonging to the field from which the first hash value has been generated; and a hash value recording means which accumulates the hash value-added image data in an accumulating means and at the same time records the first hash value as a first hash value for recording in the accumulating means in correspondence with a field number of the field for which the first hash value has been generated.
