PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a styrene resin composition that can be manufactured by a simple operation, exhibits high optical transparency and a low water absorption and has excellent mechanical strengths, and an optical screen sheet that exhibits high optical transparency and a low water absorption and has excellent mechanical strengths. SOLUTION: The styrene resin composition is obtained by melt-kneading a copolymer (A), comprising 75-100 wt.% of a styrene monomer unit and 0-25 wt.% of a (meth)acrylate ester monomer unit, and a rubbery polymer (B). The styrene resin composition is caused to have a flexural modulus of at least 1,800 MPa, an unnotched Charpy impact strength of at least 12 kJ/m<SP>2</SP>and a saturated water absorption ratio of at most 0.4% at a temperature of 60°C and a relative humidity of 90%.
