PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an organic EL element capable of improving luminous efficiency in a low-voltage region of the organic EL element. SOLUTION: After manufacturing an organic EL element having a stacked structure configured by stacking a positive electrode layer, an organic substance layer including a luminescent layer, and a negative electrode layer in that order, and having an interfacial surface subjected to stacking, printing, transferring or coating in the stacked structure, a periphery of the interfacial surface of the obtained organic EL element is selectively heated. It is preferable that the interfacial surface is present between the negative electrode layer and the organic substance layer, or between the positive electrode layer and the organic substance layer.
