PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine exhaust emission control device advantageous to take all possible measures for drain treatment and an engine-driven type air conditioner. SOLUTION: A separator is provided with an gas-liquid separating section 300 for separating a gaseous phase from a liquid phase included in exhaust gas of an engine, an exhaust passage 400 for feeding the exhaust gas discharged from the engine to the main body 310 of the separating section of the gas-liquid separating section 300, a drain purifying section 500 communicated with the main body 310 of the separating section of the gas-liquid separating section 300 via the drain water discharge port 350 of the gas-liquid separating section 300 and carrying out purification relative to the liquid phase discharged from the drain water discharge port 350, and a gas intake means 600 for inhaling gas existing in the drain purifying section 500 and feeding it to the main body 310 side of the gas-liquid separating section 300.
