FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to the method and system intended for production of lubricant, i.e. cylinder oil used in two-stroke open crankcase engine. The proposed method includes modifying, at least, one initial liquid (101) by defining its total alkaline number (TAN), defining the required TAN of cylinder oil (102) and updating TAN of the aforesaid initial liquid (101) by mixing it with appropriate additive/additives (103) to produce cylinder oil with required TAN. Note here that the initial liquid (101) including, at least, partially used lubricant, is continuously, semicontinuously or periodically removed from existing system where it is replenished. Waste lubricants, normally withdrawn from the working cycle, are changed into cylinder oil. ^ EFFECT: higher efficiency method of producing cylinder oil. ^ 23 cl, 1 dwg
