PLY AND METHOD FOR THE METALLIZATION OF A PART MADE OF A COMPOSITE MATERIAL

The invention relates to a metallization ply (1) for a thermoplastic part (3) made of a composite material, said metallization ply including at least one metal layer (10) in the body thereof and being characterised in that the metallization ply comprises within said body at least one binding layer (11) rigidly connected to said metal layer and made of a thermoplastic resin, and in that the metal layer (10) is essentially continuous. The invention also relates to a method for making a metallized thermoplastic part (3) made of a composite material, that comprises: i) a step that comprises depositing one or more structural plies (20) defining a structural layer (2) of the part; ii) a step of depositing the metallization ply (1) on an outer surface (2a) of the structural layer (2), the binding layer (11) being on the side of the outer surface (2a) of the structural layer (2); and iii) a step of consolidating the metallization ply (1) with the structural layer (2). The invention also relates to the thermoplastic metallized part (3) made of a composite material.
