PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage system having a battery pack that does not need any complex determination circuit and can detect a charging finished state with high precision.SOLUTION: A power storage system contains a battery pack containing plural secondary battery cells of n (n represents an integer of 2 or more) which are of the same type and connected in series. Each of the secondary battery cells has a full-charge voltage Vas a voltage under a full charge state defined commonly to each type of secondary battery cells, and a pinch voltage Vwhich is not less than the full charge voltage Vwhen the secondary cells may commonly have a characteristic value every type, and at which the secondary cells fall into a pinch state defined as a state that when charging is further advanced while exceeding the full charge state, the voltage rapidly increases while keeping a predetermined charge amount exceeding the full charge amount under the full charge state of the cells.
