<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a swing mechanism in a balance training apparatus which imparts exercise loads simulating horse riding to a subject by swinging a seat where the subject sits. <P>SOLUTION: When a motor 13 rotates a first driving gear 14, eccentric shafts 14c and 14d formed at both ends of it make a pedestal 19 supporting the seat make an elliptic motion for which a vertical direction is a short diameter and a cross direction is a long diameter in the side view together with a regulation shaft 16. A control circuit for rotationally driving the motor 13 for the swing lowers the rotation speed of the motor 13 when the seat is to be elevated and accelerates it when it is to be lowered. Thus, maximum torque demanded for the motor 13 is suppressed and the motor 13, thus the swing mechanism 3, is miniaturized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
