A backlight unit is provided. The backlight unit comprises: partition walls configured to define each of a plurality of block regions on a substrate having the plurality of block regions; patterns extended from surfaces of the partition walls in one direction, and parallel with each other; and light sources arranged in the block regions respectively. Therefore, the backlight unit can prevent color mixing by suppressing crosstalk between adjacent block regions.
