<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of facilitating the maintenance when paper jamming occurs, and to provide a maintenance and inspection method of the image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: When paper jamming occurs in a both-side conveying path 175, an outer conveying member 187 is pulled outside the housing by operating a front cover 185, so as to allow an inner conveying member 188 to move slightly outward with the work of a connection lever 190. The head of the inner conveying member 188 moves along the outer surface of a guide member 193, so as to allow the inner conveying member 188 to move outward while being pushed up forward, irrespective of paper-jamming. When the front cover 185 is still more opened, the outer conveying member 187 is separated from the inner conveying member 188 at an angle of about 15° to be able to take out the paper jammed in the both-side conveying path 175. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
