PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make difference small in fixation temperature set according to a paper kind to prevent fixation separation failure while suppressing decrease in productivity.SOLUTION: A fixation device includes: an upper pressure roller having an elastic layer; a fixation belt wound about the upper pressure roller; a lower pressure roller that presses the upper pressure roller via the fixation belt and holds and carries a recording material to form a fixation nip; a load adjustment unit for adjusting the pressure load of the upper pressure roller and the lower pressure roller; a tension adjustment unit for adjusting tension of the fixation belt; and a controller for controlling the load adjustment unit so as to change the fixation nip based on information on the recording material and controlling the tension adjustment unit so as to change tension of the fixation belt.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
