The present invention provides a controller for confirming and controlling a contact state of a latch relay embedded in an electric power meter which confirms a contact opening state of a latch relay embedded in a digital power meter to prevent an electric accident even when the contact state of the latch relay is changed. According to the present invention, the controller for confirming and controlling a contact state of a latch relay embedded in an electric power meter comprises: a micro computer unit which reads and stores contact opening state information of the latch relay during a power outage or while the electric power meter is moved from a normal installation position, reads the contact opening state information stored during the power outage or while the electric power meter is moved from the normal installation position when power returns or while the electric power meter is installed on the normal installation position and power is supplied to the electric power meter, outputs an opening control signal to the latch relay if the stored contact opening state information is an opened state, and outputs a closing control signal to the latch relay if the stored contact opening state information is a closed state depending on the read contact opening state information; and a non-volatile memory to store the contact opening state information of the latch relay provided by the micro computer unit or supply the contact opening state information of the latch relay to the micro computer unit during the power outage or while the electric power meter is moved from the normal installation position. |
