The present invention provides the following: a multilayer film that comprises a long first base material and an optically anisotropic layer which is provided directly on a surface of the first base material and contains curable liquid crystal molecules, wherein the surface of the first base material has a surface tension of 35-45 mN/m and exhibits an orientation regulating force through stretching, and the optically anisotropic layer has a slow axis in a direction that is approximately the same as the direction of orientation brought about by stretching the first base material; an optical compensation sheet, quarter wavelength plate, polarizing plate, circular polarizing plate, liquid crystal display device, and organic electroluminescent display device which have the optically anisotropic layer; and a method for producing same. |
