Provided are a cell culture method that makes it possible to control the diameter of aggregated cell masses and to obtain cells in large quantities, cell aggregates obtained by this method, a cell aggregation control agent, and a medium containing this cell aggregation control agent. A method for culturing cells using suspension culturing wherein the culturing method includes an aggregation control step for adding to the medium a substance that inhibits the cell adhesion molecules of these cells and for controlling the cell aggregation of these cells.
