Sound damper for fluid line - has central deflector cone with outer ring deflectors

The fluid flow enters the damping chamber centrally and strikes the pointed end of a central deflection cone. The sides of the chamber are fitted with angled deflector plates as well as damping rings so that pressure pulses are absorbed. The rear part of the cone support is hollow and the fluid leaves the chamber via slots in the support and a central outlet pipe. The rear part of the chamber is covered with a vibration absorbant material, as are the outer walls of the chamber. The damper does not inhibit fluid flow and is fitted to hydraulic pumps and motors to provide a quiet, efficient operation.
